Community Mental Health Fund

The Saint Louis MHB Community Mental Health Fund was approved by City voters in a ballot initiative in 1992. The Mental Health Fund is committed to improving the quality of life for City adults age 18 or older who have mental health and/or substance use disorders. MHB invests in accessible, high-quality behavioral health and substance abuse recovery services.

Programs with a Focus

Missouri state statutes allow the Community Mental Health Fund to invest in the following program areas:

  • Community mental health centers or clinics
  • Comprehensive mental health services
  • Mental health services purchased from any community mental health center, clinic, public facility or not-for-profit corporation
  • Approval of service by the Missouri Department of Mental Health generally required
